Where: Ski Santa Fe

We are looking forward to the fourth year of our February Telemark Program at Ski Santa Fe and for the first time, fresh legs! The class schedule has been moved to before lunch in an effort to enable the strongest moves possible from all of us and opens up the opportunity for more fresh tracks. We will be holding a four week series of telemark lessons on Saturdays, starting February 9th, from 10 am to 12 noon at Ski Santa Fe. Each year brings together some new and some familiar faces with opportunities to build connections in the local community of telemark skiers.

Snow conditions have been excellent this season with the upper mountain open since the opening weekend and a solid base. We anticipate skiers with a wide range of telemark experience from never-ever to experienced powder and mogul enthusiasts. The instructors will include Hugh Driscoll and David Heber and we will add instructors as participation allows. We will break out into groups based on ability and skiing focus.

As in years past, we have video analysis capabilities, PSIA certified instructors, backcountry expertise, and new ideas to explore. We are happy teaching everything from basic telemark turns to high angle dynamic jump turns. We encourage you to bring your telemark skiing to the next level and join us for this year’s telemark program! To sign up, call Ski Santa Fe at 982-4429 – the cost is $120 for the 4-week program.
