I'm a Homewrecker
It's a hard realization, but if you can't be honest with yourself...
I recently built a simple thermometer shield to protect an outdoor thermometer from direct sunlight and reflected heat. I reused a section of white PVC pipe to provide additional cover for the outdoor sensor. A pair of nesting birds found the pipe and decided to move in.
Fortunately, the birds were still building an attractive cup-type nest and hadn't laid any eggs. I removed the still-empty nest and added a domed screen to the top of the pipe. Hopefully, the birds will have plenty of time to find a new spot for their nest. My thermometer shield is again hanging under the eaves on the north side of the house and is occupied by a sensor only.
I'd apologize to the birds, but I don't have their forwarding address.
